Pavillion Hardstanding

Following a successful application for lottery funding, we are pleased to say that the Parish Council have appointed a contractor to construct a new hardstanding outside the pavilion in the park. This will involve taking out all of the old concrete pathways at the front and sides of the building and having laid suitable foundations, provide a tarmac hardstanding in front, extending out 6 metres for the width of the building.

The work will commence this coming Monday, 11^th August and take 5 days to complete.

Change of plan.

Before the contractors commenced laying of the tarmac, we were offered the option of block paving instead. Whilst we accept that this will require a little more maintenance, block paving will be better suited to what the area will be used for, as well as being aesthetically more pleasing.
